TELETOON LAUNCHES INTO SPACE WITH FUTURISTIC COMEDY-ADVENTURE SERIES BOLTS & BLIP
World premiere of Bolts & Blip set for Monday, June 28 at 9:25 a.m. ET/PT
Toronto, June 14, 2010 – TELETOON is amping up its summer programming with Bolts & Blip, a brand new CGI Canada-South Korea co-production slated to launch Monday, June 28, 2010 at 9:25 a.m. ET/PT.
Set in the chaotic and intergalactic landscape of 2080, Bolts & Blip presents a hilarious new world order where a brilliant scientist has finally achieved peace on earth. By creating the Moon C.R.A.T.E.R. (Combative Robotic Answer to Earth’s Rivals) Project, robots are tasked with settling Earth’s disputes through the Lunar League, the wackiest intergalactic sports circuit around.
The series’ titular characters are two misfit robots who accidentally find themselves members of the League. With the help of their rag-tag band of teammates, the two friends find out what they are made of as they discover that both the Moon and the Earth are being threatened by evil forces.
Each action-packed episode conveys a strong message about interpersonal relationships and teamwork with underlying themes that include persistence and tenacity. The 26-episode series has an overarching eco-friendly twist: the robots’ battle weapon-of-choice is water, which causes harmless robot rust.
Bolts & Blip is created by Canada’s ToonBox Entertainment in partnership with South Korea’s Red Rover Co. Ltd. The series will air weekdays at 9:25 a.m. ET/PT, with encore presentations on Saturdays at 7 a.m. ET/PT. Episodes will also be available on Video on Demand and on the teletoon.com video player, with new episodes added on a weekly basis.
