JOB TITLE: Compositor (Mid-Senior levels)
LOCATION: Toronto, Ontario (Canada)
START DATE: Approx. late July/ August 2, 2010

SUMMARY
IMAX is looking for a number of talented digital artists (compositors) to work on an exciting full 2D to 3D conversion of a live-action Hollywood feature! This is a 2-3 month contract position located in trendy downtown Toronto. We offer a challenging, fast-paced creative work environment that allows artists to be a part of exciting feature film projects with the potential for future opportunities.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Compositor, you will create high quality seamless scenes from digital elements. Our needs are specialized, so we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate previous live-action film experience with clean plates, complex rig removal, matte painting, paint fixes and match-move tracking. Experience with node-based compositing software packages is essential. We are using Shake or Nuke. Similar software packages may also be considered.

Travel and Relocation support is provided. Canadian residents preferred. We will process work permits for the right candidate.

REQUIREMENTS
* Must be available to work between August and October
* Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
* Willing to work evenings and weekends
* Ability to work shifts if required
* Ability to take direction and work independently while being an effective team player
* Highly detail-oriented
