Actually, there ought to be a correction here. Dave Baas, the director of ‘Skylight’, is a Canadian who works & lives in Toronto at one of this site’s sponsors, Starz Animation.

SKYLIGHT, directed by David Baas, is also Canadian. Funding from Bravo!FACT. Not sure why Cartoon Brew has it listed as American.

That’s how the Academy listed it, not their fault. Starz Animation Toronto is a branch studio of an American company (Starz), so that’s probably why it got listed as an American film. It’s entirely possible that ‘Skylight’ was animated in LA.
