Free Screening on April 18th!
The 18th of April will be a special date as we celebrate the official launch of the call for entries to the Montreal Stop Motion Film Festival.
We are offering a free screening at 7 pm in the J.A de Sève Theater (1453 Mackay Street) to thank all of our supporters of the festival and to invite newcomers to discover the high quality film productions that won awards during the first and second edition of the festival. The screening is PG-13, arrive early as space is limited!

Along with the screening is a special treat! The Pirates are coming!
Aardman Animation, the production house behind Wallace and Gromit, Chicken Run, and Shaun the Sheep, in conjunction with Sony Pictures Animation and Columbia Pictures will be releasing their latest feature film. The Pirates! Band of Misfits in theatres April 27th!
In THE PIRATES! BAND OF MISFITS, the Pirate Captain his a somewhat less-than-successful, terror of the High Seas. With a rag-tag crew at his side the Captain has one dream: to beat his bitter rivals to the much coveted Pirate Of The Year Award.
The Montreal Stop Motion Film Festival will be giving away 10 double passes to the premiere of the movie along with exclusive gift bags containing goodies related to this eagerly awaited film (T-shirt, map, tattoos…the perfect kit for any Pirate). We will also be giving away 2 VIP passes to the 4th edition of the Montreal Stop Motion Film Festival, taking place on the 19th, 20th and 21st of October!

Présentation gratuite le 18 avril 2012 !
Le 18 avril 2012: une date à retenir alors que nous lançons officiellement l’appel de candidatures pour le Festival du Film de Stop Motion de Montréal.
Le but de cette présentation, qui aura lieu à 19h dans la salle J.A. de Sève (1453 rue Mackay), est de remercier nos nombreux supporters et donner la chance aux nouveaux venus d’apprécier l’art du Stop Motion avec la projection de films primés durant nos éditions antérieures (2009 et 2010).
Cette présentation est réservée aux 13 ans et plus. Les places sont limitées, alors arrivez tôt!

La maison de production Aardman Animation, bien connue pour ses productions de Wallace et Gromit, Poulets en fuite et Shaun le mouton, ainsi que Sony Pictures Animation et Columbia Pictures présenteront bientôt une toute nouvelle production “Les Pirates! Bande de nuls” à l’affiche le 27 avril prochain! Dans ce film d’animation, le capitaine des pirates ne parvient pas à être la terreur des mers. Avec un équipage d’hommes à ses côtés, le capitaine n’a qu’un rêve: vaincre ses rivaux afin de rafler le convoité trophée remis au pirate de l’année.
Afin de célébrer la sortie du film, le Festival du Film de Stop Motion de Montréal offrira 10 laissez-passer doubles pour la première du film avec des sacs-cadeaux exclusifs qui contiendront des accessoires indispensables à tout Pirate de ce nom (T-shirt, carte, tattoos… et plus)
