We haven’t been covering Kidscreen this year because:
A) We aren’t there.
and
B) It’s in Miami, and we’re having a big hissy fit because all our friends are warm and sipping cocktails, and we’re not.
But it’s a thing, and it’s happening right now. IN MIAMI.
I’m sure there are a bunch of readers who don’t know what Kidscreen is, and I should probably do a whole post about conferences and festivals and the like, but not today. But let’s just say that Kidscreen is a big Kids Media conference where all kinds of business people and even some artists get together to talk about kids shows, try to sell their kids shows, and also drink. It used to be in New York, and now they’ve moved it to Miami to solidify their Canadian ticket sales forever.
And they hand out awards.

This evening, Jessi Cruikshank took to the stage to host the 2015 Kidscreen Awards, which celebrate the year’s best work in children’s television and take place annually at Kidscreen Summit in Miami.
Determined by two panels of highly respected broadcast executive judges, awards in the Programming and Creative Talent categories were given to the following entries:
