- Women in Animation is expanding into Canada, launching a Vancouver chapter. Extremely timely. Not sure if there will be any affiliation with the Toronto-based Women Drawn Together. https://www.thestar.com/entertainment/2017/11/02/women-in-animation-starts-vancouver-chapter.html
- A collection of Animation art, including production cels from the Canadian classic series, the Raccoons, is in storage, and at risk of deterioration, in Sault St Marie, as part of an unusual collection once estimated to be valued at 11 million dollars. It’s never been exhibited, and the gallery isn’t even allowed to unload it. Weird. https://www.guelphtoday.com/around-the-village/ontario-gallery-has-original-the-raccoons-cels-doesnt-know-what-to-do-with-them-753700
