Cartoon Conrad is seeking a highly skilled Production Manager (Animation) to work on several new and exciting productions.
Position: Production Manager
Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term Contract, On Site or Remotely in N.S.

Location: Applicants accepted in this position MUST BE A RESIDENT of NOVA SCOTIA or willing to relocate to Nova Scotia before 31st December 2020.
Essential: Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience production management in an animation environment gained in the past 5 years.
Responsibilities:
Work with the Creative Director/Animation Director in managing priorities throughout the production. Oversee production schedules, budgets, and quota targets.
Work with Production Coordinator to maintain/update all tracking spreadsheets ensuring notes and feedback are available in a timely manner. Overseeing file transfers to and from the client including weekly deliverables and assets shipped in from the client. Providing general support and guidance to the crew as required.
Anticipate areas that may require extra attention/improvement to stay on schedule and budget. Strategize with department leads and other members of management to resolve any production and/or inventory issues to production pipeline.
Communication between client and Creative Director/Animation Director. Organize meeting and agendas to the appropriate individuals. Make sure presentation and meeting materials are ready and ensure that all required parties attend.
Attend review meetings, delegate/take accurate, detailed, clear and concise meeting notes.
Assist in managing day-to-day studio operations and help answer artist/animators’ questions concerning general production needs.
Continually ensure that the most up-to-date information and tools are delivered to appropriate individuals & departments within required timeframes.
Promote/maintain department morale, motivation, and positive thinking.
Work with Production Coordinators or Associate Producer and in-house Directors/Supervisors to ensure that overall production scheduling and budget requirements are met within assigned department(s).
Aid the Line Producer to manage internal department schedules in line with the master production schedule utilizing current processes and adapt as needed.
Schedule big ticket milestones and look at least four weeks ahead to ensure that weekly quotas, department milestones and inventory expectations will be met.
Strategize with department leads and other members of management to resolve any production and/or inventory issues, and manage any related impact on the budget, schedule and overtime.
Send out meeting invitations and agendas to the appropriate individuals and ensure that all required parties attend.
Assist in managing day-to-day studio operations and help answer artist/animators’ questions concerning general production needs.
Continually ensure that the most up-to-date information and tools are delivered to appropriate individuals & departments within required timeframes.
Set up telephone and video conferencing equipment as necessary.
Prepare presentations, reports and actively participate in senior management team meetings
Train and mentor team members through provision of general support and guidance.
