Operating out of its newly expanded 11,000 sqf state of the art studio in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, the studio provides script to screen production services to leading global studios and iconic brands.
Reporting to the Animation Supervisor, the Animator is responsible for completing their assigned work at the highest quality and on schedule to help support and reflect the Animation Supervisor and Animation Director’s vision.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Working from storyboard/animatic and setup layout files to create high-quality, key-framed animation demonstrating a strong sense of performance, posing, timing, and weight, including lip sync and shot-to-shot continuity
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team to ensure animation adheres to the style and vision set out by the Animation Director, Animation Supervisor and Lead Animators
- Follow production processes and be responsible for your shots from ‘ready to start’ to ‘client approved’ stages
- Adjust/refine animation as indicated and required by the Animation Supervisor, Director and/or Lead Animator
- Meet project deadlines and milestones, including weekly quotas, as set by the Animation Coordinator
- Demonstrates good written and verbal communication, and exhibits a collaborative, supportive approach to working with other team members
- Actively participates in team meetings with a willingness to ask questions or seek input to advance and improve
- Consistently exercise sound judgment in all areas of performance
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Proficiency in Harmony
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Gmail
- Gmail extensions like Google Docs
- Shotgun or other tracking software, aptitude to learn
- Clear concise communication both written and verbal
- Excellent teamwork sensibilities and the desire to work collaboratively with fellow teammates
- Professional communication skills and the ability to take direction and work within a TV/Episodic/Streaming production schedule
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- A desire to make terrific content in a fun, collaborative and fast-paced environment
- Currently legally able to work in Canada
- Currently residing in BC or Ontario
