FX Lead
Guru Studio’s dedicated team is passionate about bringing inspired character driven stories to screens around the world.
Our award winning and internationally renowned Toronto animated entertainment company is looking for an FX Lead.
Responsibilities:
– Lead a team of FX Artists to deliver FX shots such as dirt, splashes and waves
– Develop reusable FX assets and workflows in collaboration with the asset team
-Identify and breakdown FX shots based on leica
-Assign shots to team members
-Insure both technical and artistic goals are met
Qualifications:
– 2+ years experience in commercials or television
– Proficient in Maya 2014, Houdini or FumeFX
– Experience with VRay for Maya
– Proficiency in Nuke is a major asset
– A strong creative portfolio
-A good sense of timing in animation for FX
