Zink, a multidisciplinary agency and production house that specializes in design, brand identity, animation, commercial production, motion graphics and digital content creation, is seeking an experienced Compositor to join our team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
-Consulting with director and producer to Integrating 2D, 3D and live action elements with eye for photorealism including composition, colour, light and shadow.
-Understanding 2D, 3D Tracking and Match Moving, Matte Extraction, Color-correction and Rotoscoping and paint.
-Developing and preparing graphic elements using After Effects.
-Matching lighting, colours that seamlessly combine graphic elements to achieve an aesthetically balanced look.
-Executing compositing tasks based on direction from Animation Director.
-Providing support and assistance to Junior and Intermediate Compositors.
-Solving creative and technical problems under tight deadlines and fast turnaround.
-Working within a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.
-Establishes certain looks or solves particular design or effects challenges for key visual effects shots
-Collaborate with other compositors to share knowledge and techniques.
-Solves technical challenges and recognizes areas for improvement with other compositors work.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
-Minimum 3-5 years live action visual effects compositing experience.
-Should possess a keen eye for color ,color matching and CG integration.
-Should have strong aptitude for technical workflow challenges such as directory structure, file formats, naming conventions, scripts, automation tools, automated dailies, etc.
-Should have strong knowledge of compositing workflow and the compositing application interface.
-Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
-Ability to take direction positively, work well within a team and thrive under the pressure of tight deadlines.
-Experience with multi pass 3D renders.
-Knowledge of Photoshop, After Effects and Mocha.
-Experience with Maya, Permiere and PF Track is considered an asset.
-A working knowledge of both feature film and television VFX production pipelines
-A reel showing strong artistic skills including sense of color, lighting, composition
-Attention to detail and desire to deliver consistently high aesthetic and high technical quality work, and encourage those around you to the same standards.
-Excellent communication skills and technical knowledge.
EDUCATION
Related College level diploma/certificate.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
This is a full-time, 10 week contract position.
Salary is based on experience and ability.
This job will be done in-house, we will only accept applicants who live within the GTA
