A surprising announcement this week from Guru Studio in Toronto: Mary Bredin, who has held the title of EVP of Content and Strategy for the past 10 plus years, will be leaving the company at the end of April.
Mary is one half of the leadership at Guru, next to studio founder Frank Falcone, and her impact on the company over the last decade is remarkable. The duo grew the studio from a successful commercial production house to the enviable creative shop behind such monster hits as Justin Time and Paw Patrol.
Kidscreen says that Mary “will refocus her passion for IP creation and storytelling as a consultant, working on new kids projects for both TV and movies.”
Good luck to Mary in her new endeavours.
