We’re looking for people who want the challenge of creating premium content for some of the leagues’ leading teams, having a direct hand in developing video game entertainment for a platform at the leading edge.
Currently seeking Animator/Illustrator with experience in creation of quality digital artwork for the video game or broadcast market to join our game development art team in Ottawa.
The artist will be required to work with the design team in establishing the visual style for each project, under guidance from the art director, while being responsible for the development & production of relevant pre production and in-game assets. Focus is placed on storyboards, character designs and creation of game screen comps.
Qualifications
Ability to animate a wide variety of elements, from objects to characters to visual effects
Demonstrate the ability to create within a wide range of styles
Strong sense of timing, lighting, colour, composition & visual language
Ability to translate the look & feel of a project when given specific artistic direction & reference
Demonstrate a history of consistent high-end aesthetic and technical execution
Excellent ability to work with a digital pipeline and it’s related tools
Experience with video game market, from conceptualization to asset production & integration a plus
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are required
The ability to be creative and meet deadlines within a fast-paced production environment is a must
Proficiencies:
Excellent drawing skills, sense of dynamic movement and 3 dimension
Strong sense of visual story telling
Photoshop & Flash
Digital painting packages an asset
Toonboom package an asset
